We went sailing with some friends of ours. One is from India, and the other, Indonesia. We wanted to show them a good time on the water, and the sailing did not disappoint! The best part was the weather - warm and beautiful.
At departure, we decided not to use a spring line to spring us around, but the current caused us to depart the slip too fast. I really should have noticed it. Really, we should have used a spring line. No damage done, just rubbed a piling, but it's always embarrassing.

Nick, Ajit, and Anyika enjoying lunch on the water
We had our lunch on the water, and tacked a few times. Since the winds were from the south, it was easy to go back and forth across the bay.
On the way in, we dropped the sails much faster than expected! We motored in and I backed the boat successfully into the slip (a big relief!). It was a great sailing day.
